23 BIG ONES!!!

Whoever said that wisdom comes with age obviously didn't make it into their twenties.  Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and for the second straight year I spent most of my big day in various airports trying to make my way back to Fayetteville, Ar.  Upon waking this morning feeling sleep deprived, dehydrated, and sore from cramped and uncomfortable plane seats I realized that getting older brought me no new wisdom or insight, only pain and a fleeting feeling of morning sickness.  On the other hand I did get to spend my birthday with some truly great people.  Between spending the morning with my beautiful girlfriend Rachel (NOT RACHAEL) and her amazing family,  and some friends later in the evening It was a nearly perfect day.  The only reason I say nearly perfect is due to a rather lame World Cup final that resulted in the loss of my pre-cup favorites (the Dutch).  So to all those that made my birthday the best one yet, whether you sent a text, posted on my facebook page, called and sang to me, or I had the pleasure of being with, thank you for everything.  I am a lucky guy to have so many great friends, the love of the best girlfriend imaginable, and  a family I wouldn't trade for the world.  Who needs wisdom when you already have everything else?
